Planning your trip to Bali and not on a sky high budget? No worries. You'll find plenty of cute places to stay around 20 to 30 euros euros a night. And if you want, even less. And we're not talking dirty hostels, shabby huts or places hidden somewhere far from all the fun. We're talking super stylish, beautiful designed (the Pinterest kind), clean and perfectly located close to Canggu's beaches and our favorite cafes.
We've curated our top 7 favorite affordable places to stay in Canggu for you below!
1. Kosta Canggu
Wake up, do yoga, surf, eat, chill... and make new friends! New in town is Kosta Berawa. After opening their first hostel in Seminyak 3 years ago, Kosta is now also open in Canggu. It's colorful, vibrant, islandstyle. Happiness is guaranteed. You can book a private room, shared room or go for the lowest budget option: bunk beds. All the rooms are surrounding the pool, and the top deck has a yoga space. The hostel is located in the heart of Berawa, close to all our favorite neighbourhood cafes. Yet... non is that necessary because Kosta's own cafe downstairs 'Mantra' is the new go-to spot for breakfast, coffee fox, lunch- or dinner date.

2. Dreamsea Surf Canggu
Dreamsea is slowly taking over the world. With surf camps in Europe, South America and Bali, they are turning your stays at the best surf spots into memories for a lifetime. In Bali you'll find this tropical gem in The Bukit and Canggu. You can do daily yoga- and surf classes and they have a health food cafe and pool. The rooms are pretty Pinterest worthy and for the lowest budgets they have dorms available.

3. Sunflower Stay & Surf
Right in the heart of Canggu on walking distance to the beach and the coolest cafés, you’ll find this exotic looking guesthouse. Our favorite coffee spot BGS is just across the street and Shady shack only 1 minute walk. Rooms are small but cute, and they surround a shared pool and kitchen. It has good vibes written all over it and you can arrange surf classes here as well.

4. Kos One Hostel
At first sight you'd think this is an expensive boutique stay. But it's actually affordable and fun! If you're looking for a quiet place to stay, this is not your thing. Because Kos One is located in the heart of Canggu and a popular hangout during the day with its 'Alternative Beach' attached. A big day hangout with pool with slides, pool bar and swings, movie nights, sunset BBQ's... and much more. If you're excited to meet new travelers and have a fun time Kos One is your stay.

6. The Sloth Bali
Well styled and quiet, this new little tropical hostel is one we'd definitely recommend. It lives up to his name, because you can really lazy around here all day. Hangout at the pool, garden or living room style restaurant. The Sloth is located on Padang Linjong, about 2 minutes by motorbike to Echo Beach and 5 to Batu Bolong. You're around the corner of all the nice cafes, shops and spas. And on Padang Linjong itself you'll find lots of our favorites as well, like GIVE (best vegan warung!) and Copenhagen.

7. The Apartments Umalas
Looking for that villa life style in Bali but needing it to fit your budget? Our all-time favorite hidden gem is The Apartments Umalas. Umalas is an area just a little inside road through the rice fields away from Barawa and Canggu. This boutique resort is a true tropical oasis. There are 3 shared pools and a restaurant at the reception. In the back they made more budget rooms. We love that it's a bit outside of Canggu's center, so it's more quiet and it feels so serene to get back 'home' here. So you'll need a motorbike to get around. Our favorite cafes in Berawa are all around the corner in only 2 minutes drive and you're also still close to Seminyak for all the best shops, spas and fun surf!
