BALI UPDATE: No-quarantine & Visa on Arrival + Full list CHSE Hotels in Bali!

Bali, March 25 2022

If you've been watching our stories you know there is another update regarding traveling to Bali and the NO-quarantine + visa on arrival! Conditions are changing daily so many travelers are getting lost into all the information - we hope we can help to keep things clear.

Here's the latest Bali update!
And find our full Bali pre-flight checklist here

No-quarantine & Visa on arrival in Bali!
For everyone arriving in Bali, quarantine is NO longer required. Other conditions are still in place: a pre-departure negative PCR test result (within 48 hours of departure) and insurance that covers Covid related expenses.

Before you fly out to Bali make sure to download the PeduliLindungi app and make an account. That's all you have to do!

NO quarantine anymore.
Hotel quarantine is no longer required for fully vaccinated (2 doses of vaccinations or 1 J&J vaccination) international travelers arriving in Bali. It doesn't matter when you had your vaccinations, as long you've got 2 doses.

You need a valid visa (the B211 Visa or a Visa On Arrival) and a negative PCR test result prior to departure.

Is the visa on arrival also available in Jakarta?
Visa-on-Arrival is only accessible for 60 nationalities through Bali (see full list below). As a result, you must still apply for a B211 visa in advance for the rest of Indonesia.

Is quarantine in Jakarta still mandatory?
No!

Is it required to book a hotel on arrival in Bali? And do we still need the PCR tests?
There is no-quarantine mandatory for visitors coming to Bali right now.

List of 60 countries

Travelers from the following countries qualify for Visa on Arrival VOA), but only if they arrive in Bali. News is circling that more countries will be added on the list - but this is not official yet.

  • Australia
  • United States
  • UK
  • Germany
  • The Netherlands
  • France
  • Qatar
  • Japan
  • South Korea
  • Canada
  • Italy
  • New Zealand
  • Turkey
  • United Arab Emirates
  • Malaysia
  • Thailand
  • Singapore
  • Brunei Darussalam
  • Vietnam
  • Laos

  • Tunisia
  • Saudi Arabia
  • Brazil Hungary

When do I still need the B211 visa?
If you want to stay longer than 60 days you need a B211A Visa, even if you could get a Visa on Arrival. The VOA is valid for 30 days and can be extended 30 more days after. After the 60 days you will need to leave Indonesia.

And you must still apply for a B211A if your nationality is not stated on the list above.

We can recommend to apply for your B211 visa with Bali Solve (make sure to mention Welikebali!)

Bonjour !!

Thanks a lot for all the precious information in your blog. It s very helpful.

I have a little tricky question. I am flying in a month time. Today, I was suppose to do my first vaccine but I got Covid yesterday. So I will only be able to do one shot before departure. I wonder if it will be fine as here having Covid is considered as 1 shot of vaccine.

Or if I read properly your article, if I find a J&J vaccine center, one shot would be enough. Is it correct?

Thanks a lot for your help !!

Hi,

We will arrive at Bali in June and we want to fly to Flores the next day after arrival. Do we need to stay at Bali first or is it possible to fly the next day to Flores?

Rich

Hi, in relation to the statement listed above “When PCR test result is positive, with no or minor symptoms you can quarantine at your own hotel or Airbnb for a minimum 5 days and until your PCR returns negative. You don’t have to do 5 days isolation at a dedicated isolation hotel anymore”, where did you get this information? Everything I read states there is still a requirement to be moved to an isolation hotel.
