Q&A with island babe Pua Johnson

Islandbabe Pua Johnson (21) is not to miss in the island surf scene. Who charges waves like no other. With her mixed Hawaiian and Balinese roots, growing up on the island and started surfing when she was just 4 years old she’s just meant to be ripping. So her life evolves around her surfer lifestyle, living in Bali, spending Winter's in Hawaii with the family and traveling around Indonesia in search of the best waves. About time we got together with our favorite island surfer girl for a quick Q&A!

Tell us a little bit about yourself and your daily life in Bali.

Wake up. Have a coffee. Go check the surf! I’m blessed to say, for the most part my life revolves around surfing. I check swells and tides, then try to schedule my life around that.

What is it about Islandlife that you love most?

The island life is something I don’t think I could give up! Living life mostly in a bikini is pretty wonderful. Not having to worry about being cold is the best!

Swim, surf or tan?

Surf! I usually don’t spend much time hanging out on the beach other than surfing.

Favorite beach in Bali?

My favorite beach would have to be Uluwatu. Amazing waves and simply a stunning place.

Your best insider tip for Bali.

Stay away from monkeys haha. That’s the best I’ve got.

Next (dream) trip?

My dream would be to go to the Mentawaii Islands. I’ve always wanted to go and waves are perfect.

What’s on your current playlist?

I have a mix of everything it all depends on my mood. I’ve got reggae, RnB and some hip hop. But at night while I’m making dinner I love to listen to Jazz.

Favorite piece from Welikebali the Label?

Definitely the Sea you in Bali sweatsuit. And the orange Surfed Out bikini for my surf sessions!
