White Palm Hotel Bali

The tropical design of the hotel is fresh, elegant and bright. White thatched roof bungalows are perfectly located around the eco-friendly salt water pool and spacious garden. Each bungalow designed with a clean look, neutrals and the most comfortable beds ever (we had a huge beds of 2m!). Each bungalow has aircon inside and a small private patio out front. In respect of the Balinese culture, White Palm was designed with a Balinese Feng Shui based on spiritual Hindu belief. The inspiration for the hotel was to offer a heart warming welcoming atmosphere for all kind of travelers - from couples to solo travelers and friends to families.

White Palm was originally the idea of owner Stephanie in 2017, when she decided to move her career in China to start something new in Bali where she came frequently for holidays. One week after she arrived in Bali, Stephanie met Asier and a love story was born. They traveled to 11 countries in less than 4 months and they decided to continue the White Palm adventure together.

The eco-boutique hotel became not only a gorgeous place to stay thanks to Stephanies interior design skills but above all top notch thanks to Asier’s home cooking throughout the day. Asier has 26 years of experience in Michelin stars, hotels, restaurants, and private clubs worldwide. Asier has been the mastermind behind many of the famous restaurants in Bali and beyond. Al food and drinks they serve at the in-house restaurant ‘Coco Kitchen’ at the hotel are made from local organic & seasonal products that they find daily in the Balinese markets or simply in the garden.

While we stayed there we got to know Stephanie and Asier and their beautiful daughter Amaya (2). Their kindness and of their whole team at the hotel was beyond amazing. It made the experience of staying at White Palm truly special and we found that other guests felt that same way.

Family friendly: check!
Manua was super happy to play with the toys and little slide from Amaya that were esthetically placed in the open living room area. What makes White Palm also incredibly nice for families with (young) kids. The big garden and salt water pool with undeep kids area, were so lovely. He also loved the two gorgeous cats who paraded gracefully through the resort.

We loved that we could simply wake up, walk outside our bungalow barefoot into the garden. Manua would play with Amaya or run around while we enjoyed our morning coffee by the sound of morning chipping birds and pleasing warmth of the rising sun.

Balangan Beach
Boards were available at White Palm for a surf out front in Balangan Beach (you can also request a surf class!) where the barefoot journey continued from the hotel to the ocean. In a few minutes you walk down to the white sand beach where the waves roll in. The authentic feel of Balangan Beach is somehow in relation to other beaches in the South still very much there. Local warungs, dirt roads and stray cows and no big intrusive hotels in sight on this piece of Bali coastline. Where for sunset the local community comes out to enjoy the beach and the smell of fresh roasted corn and kids running and laughing on the beach gives a sense of Bali back in the days.

Exploring The Bukit
The perfect combination for guests to truly enjoy a relaxing, authentic experience in the South of Bali, away from crowded tourism but close enough to jump on the motorbike or take a taxi to all the must sees and hot spots in the area. Balangan is the first area in the south when driving from Canggu/Seminyak towards The Bukit. So towards Bingin and Uluwatu it would be another 10 to 20 minute drive. Stephanie and Asier also provide all their guests extra services to explore the area and collected their own favorite trips and activities in the area, which they will share upon arrival.
