The Surf, Bingin Beach

It’s all we ever dream of while being awake: best surf breaks out front, breathtaking sunsets, soak up the sun all day and a gorgeous beachfront suite. The Surf is a new boutique stay on the cliff of Bingin beach in Bali with 3 boutique suites overlooking the ocean. Suit 1 and 2 are 1 bedroom spaces below and suite 3 is a 2-bedroom space on the upper level. We had an amazing stay, had the best food in the area (here’s some of our favorite cafes in the neighborhood) surfed all day and watched the sun set (really does not get any more romantic).

The Beach Shack, by Mahi Mahi Bingin

We often enjoy staying at the Mahi Mahi suits in Binginfor the weekend.. It’s walking distance down to the beach and surf and all our favorite cafes in the area. But the new addition to the Mahi Mahi collection is simply next level. We stayed here last May for Pris her birthday with friends and it couldn’t be more perfect. The ‘Beach Shack’is located on top of the cliff and the view over the ocean will simply take your breath away. It has 3-bedrooms and an open space living room, tropical styled and very minimal - we like! The walls are mostly filled with glass windows so you can soak up the surroundings and scenery to its fullest. Special occasion or simply looking for the most breathtaking stay in Bali? Uluwatu Surf Villas

An all-time favorite, which is turning into an even more dreamier place each time! Uluwatu Surf Villasis located on top of the cliff in Uluwatu. If you follow us on Instagram you know we love to stay here regularly on weekends to surf and chill with friends. The cliff top resort holds private villas, our favorite restaurant in the area ‘Mana’, outdoor yoga studio ‘Morning Light’ and a private stairways to the beach that gives acces to the best beach break in the world. World’s most famous surfers stay here to surf and enjoy the best of Bali - the resort is truly paradise. It’s also the most magical wedding venue, if you’d every dreaming of a Bali wedding one day. The view is not even possible to attempt to describe in words (hooray for photos!) - but even that doesn’t do justice, you really need to experience it for yourself so a good reason to have it high on your Bali Bucketlist for your next trip!

Pondok Pisang

In our first year in Bali in 2009 our best friend Kim took us to Pondok Pisang. After a beautiful road trip by motorbike along the East Coast of Bali we arrived at this hidden gem in local village Mendira, close to Amed. Ever since it is one of our personal favorites and even after more than 10 years it has kept its magic. Nestled underneath the coconut trees by the sea with a private beach out front, Pondok Pisang is a true authentic family run escape for those who seek serenity. There are 3 Bali style bungalows set in the tropical garden, and two located out front with ocean view. The restaurant has a delicious vegetarian menu and the banana pancakes for breakfast are a classic. Make sure to add it to your Bali itinerary and experience a slice of paradise away from the crowds.

Sun & Surf Bingin 

A classic that you’ll love! Right on the beach in Bingin you’ll find this bright and white stunning boutique stay. All rooms overlook the ocean and you can walk barefoot outside and swim and surf all day: hence the name, Sun & Surf! Rooms are small and simple but all you need, nap in the hammock on your balcony to cool down and enjoy many of the amazing beach warungs and cool cafes in the neighborhood. The family Morabito that runs the stay is always incredibly sweet and helpful. Your ultimate Bali holiday doesn’t get any better than this!
