How to get a taxi from the airport in Bali

One of the first things you would want to do when you arrive in Bali, is to your hotel or villa without any hassle and quick. It can be quite overwhelming arriving at the airport and seeing all the men with signs and calling you to get transport. It's actually quite easy to get a nice (and cheap) ride to your hotel. No worries for you, cause we're telling you exactly what you need to know.

1. Welcome to Bali!

The first thing you'll notice when you arrive in Bali, are dozens of smiling taxi drivers when you walk through the doors after the luggage claim, ready to take you wherever you need to go. However, negotiating with them for the price can be quite difficult, they'll ask a high price. But hey, can't blame them to try and grab good money no the job! If you'd rather avoid the hassle, walk outside the arrival hall towards the parking and you'll find yourself a taxi stand to book a (Bluebird) taxi for a fixed price (around 200.000 Rupiah to Seminyak).

2. Get yourself a driver

An option we usually advise is to arrange a driver before arriving in Bali. You can either arrange a driver via your stay or you can contact our driver Pak Made. You can WhatsApp him (in Indonesia it's very common to WhatsApp with companies!) a couple of days before your arrival date with your flight details on +62164700314. He will be waiting for you on arrival, with your name on a sign. There is free wifi at the airport, so if you can't find him in the crowd, send him a message. Don't forget to mention you got his number via Pris & Eve, so he knows to give you a fair price (around 200.000 Rupiah). No hassle, a kind face and big car.

3. Budget option

Are you backpacking your way to Asia or need to save money? Gojek! Make sure you download the Gojek app, connect to the wifi at the airport, walk outside to the parking area and get yourself a driver through the app. Just click the option "Go Car". This will cost you a lot less than a taxi or a private driver. You can also do this with the Uber app.

This is it, your guide to traveling from Bali airport to the city! If you have any other questions, just send us a message and we'll try to help you out.

Enjoy your Bali vacay!

Hi Pris and Eve,

I’m looking into booking a taxi from the airport to Seminyak with the provided number in the post. However, the contact cannot be found on WhatsApp. I was wondering if you have any other reliable drivers that you’d recommend? Thank you!
