Getting a visa for Bali isn't that complicated and will not cost you a lot either, however it's very important to know how it works and what to get. Here a few tips about what you should know about getting your visa for Bali before arrival.
// Your visa for Bali
Good news! A 30 days Tourist Visa on arrival is free of charge for most countries (check here). You do have to make sure your passport is valid for at least 6 months, otherwise they won't let you enter the country.
If you’re planning on staying longer than 30 days, you need to buy a tourist visa on arrival. This will allow you to stay a maximum of 60 days. After two weeks of your stay you will need to go to a Visa Agency in Bali who can help you to extend your visa for another 30 days. They will send you to immigration for finger prints and you're good to stay for 60 days in total. A visa like this will cost you about 50 euro on arrival and about 50 euro for the extension. If you accidentally stay 1 or 2 days longer than the 60 days, they'll charge you 70 euro per day at immigration when you leave the country.
If you want to stay longer than 60 days, you’ll need to go out of the country before the 60 days and come back on a new Tourist Visa. Book a nice weekend getaway to Bangkok, Hongkong, Singapore or Kuala Lumpur for example :)
Important note: with a tourist visa you aren't allowed to work! This is for holiday purpose only!
