It’s been a long time coming! And now it’s official: Welikebali is curating private bookable Bali experiences — together with Toko Travel

WELIKEBALI X TOKO TRAVEL

Together with Toko Travel, a family-owned Balinese business, we’re turning our favorite island days into bookable experiences: the perfect mix of must-see nature, local culture and those special moments you can’t Google — guided by trusted Balinese experts.

Think waterfalls that feel straight-up unreal, a lunch with a Balinese family that’ll be a core memory, dreamy rice-field walks (with a kid-friendly version too), and hands-on workshops with local makers — textiles, ceramics, cooking — all wrapped in the Welikebali way: effortless, perfectly paced, and so good you’ll be saying “OK… THIS is Bali.”

We’ve been loving their trips ourselves for years — and we’ve been sending our friends and Welikebali community to them long before this collaboration was even a thing.

Toko Travel is a trusted tour team with local Balinese guides who know how to make a day feel smooth, relaxed and genuinely special. They take care of everything behind the scenes — the timing, transport, guiding and logistics — and we bring the Welikebali curation: the route choices, the vibe, and the “this is so worth it” stops.

So this partnership just makes sense: our favorite way to explore Bali, now officially bookable.

So you can simply pick your experience and book instantly (no back-and-forth), and have one of those days you’ll talk about long after you’re home!

Chasing Waterfalls in North Bali

This one is for you if you're a true nature lover. If you’re the kind of traveler who gets genuinely happy from the color (and even the scent) of green — and could spend a whole day chasing waterfalls — this is your tour.

You’ll head to North Bali, home to some of the island’s most beautiful waterfalls. The journey itself is part of the magic: a scenic drive into cooler, quieter landscapes, followed by a walk through rice fields with sweeping views of the mountains and the sea.

Once you descend, you’ll find yourself in a lush, tropical oasis — waterfalls hidden between dense jungle and wild tropical plants. Swim if you feel like it, jump in, even glide down one of the falls… or simply sit, listen to the water, and take it all in. This day isn’t about rushing; it’s about experiencing Bali at its most alive.

What makes it extra special: your local Balinese guide is from this area, and knows all the ins and outs — the safest spots, the quiet corners, and the little details you’d never notice on your own. Along the way, he’ll also share stories and context about Balinese culture and daily life. And yes — water here is not “just water”: it’s considered sacred. In many communities, it used to be customary to visit certain waterfalls with local guidance out of respect for that holiness — and your guide will explain the meaning behind it as you go.

You’ll be picked up from your hotel or villa in the morning, and brought back in the afternoon — with one final highlight waiting at the end: a well-earned lunch with a stunning view, the perfect finish to a day that often becomes the favorite of the whole trip.

Jatiluwih ricefield walk + Lunch at a Balinese Home

This is our personal favorite tour — the one we keep recommending to friends, and the one that feels the most “real Bali” in the softest, most beautiful way.

You’ll head into the heart of the island to Jatiluwih: peaceful, spacious, and refreshingly quiet — with rice terraces so beautiful they’re recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage landscape. It’s the kind of place that instantly makes you slow down. Your local Balinese guide will bring the scenery to life, sharing how the terraces are shaped by the traditional subak irrigation system and what daily life looks like in this region.

And then the highlight (and the reason we love it so much): lunch at the guide’s family home. A warm, home-cooked meal in a real Balinese family compound — not staged, not rushed — just genuine hospitality and one of those moments that makes you feel truly connected to the island.

Traveling with kids? There’s a family-friendly option too: a shorter ricefield walk, more rest stops, and a gentler pace overall — so everyone enjoys the day (including parents).

Central Bali Culture Experience

This is the cultural day we recommend when you want something that feels meaningful and beautifully paced — not rushed, not performative.

You’ll start at Tirta Empul, Bali’s sacred spring temple, where locals come for melukat (a traditional water purification ritual). Your local Balinese guide will help you understand what you’re seeing — the customs, the symbolism, and the quiet rules of temple life — so it feels respectful and approachable whether you choose to participate or simply observe.

From there, the day flows into softer layers of Bali: a walk through a bamboo forest, then lunch in a traditional Balinese village, where the island feels wonderfully everyday and real. And because every great Bali day deserves a nature moment too, you’ll finish at a waterfall — for a refreshing pause (and a swim if you feel like it).

You’ll be picked up from your hotel or villa in the morning and brought back in the afternoon — with a deeper understanding of Bali, and that calm “we did something special today” feeling.

2D/1N Bali Nature Escape

Want to take it one step further? You can also choose to stay one night in a small-scale, dreamy local island stay, tucked right in the rice fields — the kind of place where you wake up to misty greens and birdsong.

This 2D/1N option lets you combine two experiences into one seamless mini-escape:

Day 1: North Bali Waterfalls Adventure

Day 2: Choose your vibe — Nature Tour + Balinese Home Lunch or the Culture Experience (Tirta Empul + village lunch)

Or vice versa. It's all up to you! It’s the perfect way to experience Bali with more depth: less driving back and forth, more time in the landscape, and a slower rhythm that makes everything feel extra special.

We’ll pick you up from your hotel or villa, and after your 2-day escape, you’ll be brought back the next afternoon.
